Day 96
Got some work done in the morning. We discovered that the falls of International Falls were buried beneath the reservoir of water formed by the dam built in 1905. Afternoon was our Voyageur Boat Tour on Rainy Lake. The boat ride was very peaceful with beautiful scenery. A stop on Little American Island to view the remains of the gold mining after the 1893 gold rush which turned out to be mainly a bust. We saw a couple bald eagles and a loon. Weather was perfect with a high of 73. Dinner at the coach was salmon on the grill.
