Thursday, August 17, 2017, Wawa, ON
Day 98

Departed Thunder Bay and continued our eastward trek. Longest day of travel since the first couple days of the trip, 290 miles to Wawa, ON. First part of the drive was a scenic byway along Lake Superior and through mountains. Rained all the way but stopped when we arrived about 5:00 and checked into the Wawa RV Campground (w/e 30). Discovered a rock hit on the Honda windshield left a ten inch crack. Hopefully it won’t get any worse until we get home to have the windshield replaced. We hopped in the car and drove to the Silver Falls and then to the Scenic High Falls where we took a hike to the top of the falls and discovered we were in the overflow spill way, probably not a good place to be with all the rain today. We then drove downtown Wawa and started walking along Lake Wawa but the weather was cold, high of 61, and it was time for dinner so with no restaurant to tempt us, back to the coach.
