Day 15, May 12, 2018.  Saturday.
A morning on our own in Vienna was a subway ride to the Albertina Museum.  Between the subway and the walk to the museum the aroma of a bakery, the Joseph Brot Vom Pheinsten, lured us in.  The almond croissant was as delicious as the aroma.  The Albertina was excellent, well organized into various art movements from Impressionism to Modern. Works by Monet, Klimt, Renoir, Picasso, Chagall, Sedlacek and many others.  I particularly liked the Sedlacek pieces of the New Objectivity movement.  After lunch on the buffet boat, we had an excursion to the Schonbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Hapsburgs.  A magnificent palace to rival Versailles with gardens exceeding the size of the country of Monaco.  Unfortunately, no photos allowed inside. Walking time 2:51, 14,109 steps.
