A beautiful 2.5 hour drive on the best Canadian road we have experienced on this trip. The good road condition is surprising since we are heading into northern Quebec which does not seem to be largely populated. We checked into Camping Au Jardin de Mon Pere (“camping in the garden of my father”) with a 50 amp site for 2 nights. Our site is 37 feet long and we are 36 so we barely fit. Hopefully no one takes our mirror off when driving by. The afternoon is spent driving around La Baie and Chicoutimi. Visited a fromagerie and watched cheese making before sampling some and buying some cheese curds. Also visited a patisserie and bought dessert for after dinner. We walked along the Saguenay Riverfront in Chicoutimi and crossed the bridge to the north shore and back. The wind was fierce and the temp cool making for a delightful walk.
