Day 30, Friday, August, 24, 2018. Rimouski, QC to Riviere-du-Loop, QC
About 10 miles west of Rimouski is the Parc National Du Bic which had a nice rv parking lot at the second entrance from the east. The park is a huge coastal park with 4 entrances. We drove the car into the park for several hikes. The first hike was to the L’Ile-Aux-Amours, an island which is accessible at low tide over a sand bar. We next hiked Les Anses to Cap Caribou where the seals were supposed to be at low tide but alas no seals and an incredibly steep hill to climb back up. Next hike was Le Chemin-Du-Nord, a beautiful trail adjacent to the shore with lots of opportunity to climb on rocks of which I took full advantage. Near the end of the trail was La Rose des Thes.  A tea shop with a view so there was no way Rosemary was not stopping there. I had a delicious mochaccino while Rosemary had tea, of course with 2 pots of hot water. We lingered for awhile, then hiked back along the coast. A beautiful, windy and cool walk. We then visited the place where the seals are supposed to be at high tide. We saw one seal. Regardless, a great day. We drove about an hour to Walmart in Rivier-du-Loop for the night. Our first night in Quebec without heat at night.
