Day 32, Sunday, August, 26, 2018. Quebec City, QC.
We spent the day on Ile d’Orleans, an Island 21 miles long and 4 miles wide just 15 km from Quebec City in the middle of the St. Lawrence River. The island is full of farms, wineries, fromageries, boulangeries, patisseries, chocolateries and even a nougaterie among others. It was a day of grazing with samples and several purchases. Lunch at the Microbrasserie de I’lle d’Orleans Pub was a delicious smoked meat sandwich.  I could not decide between 2 beers so I had a small one of each, a stout and an ale, both good. Rosemary had a chicken caesar salad. Dessert was an almond croissant, the best we’ve had on this trip. Lots of other goodies, including coffee,  maple nut gelato, cassis products including liqueurs and many more. A full day and we definitely were full. Dinner in the coach was eggs and a french bread bought on the island.
