Day 54

Spent all day at the Art Institute of Chicago except for a quick lunch at Cafécito. The museum is wonderful, better than the Metropolitan in NY in my opinion. Look at the photos - many well known artists and famous pieces. We closed it down at 5:00 and then had a very good dim sum dinner at MingHin Cuisine. We walked around the waterfront including to the Navy Pier which was mobbed as this was the center for the fireworks display. We watched the fireworks which for a city this size was disappointing - 15 minutes with a grand finale lasting about 15 seconds. Afterward, we rented 3 bikes and rode along the Lakeshore bike trail for about 20 minutes back to the coach.
