Day 9, June 12, 2026, Friday, Jersey City, NJ (New York, NY) 

Morning with the grandkids and lunch at Friedman’s where I had the shashuka - good but very mild.  Afternoon we met sister Beth at Carnegie Diner & Café.  Attended Friday night service at West End Synagogue where Ari made a speech.  Dinner at Playa Betty’s where I had the Cali Carnitas which was very good and very filling.

Day 10, June 13, 2026, Saturday, Jersey City, NJ (New York, NY) 

Another family day at Daniel’s with cribbage and other games.  The Circus dance performed by Ari and Talia was amazing the way these kids can bend and move.  Thai dinner delivered was good. 

Day 11, June 14, 2026, Sunday, Jersey City, NJ (New York, NY) 

After several cribbage matches and pizza for lunch, we went to the Escape Game located on Broadway at Times Square.  We pursued the Legend of Yeti and successfully escaped in 54 minutes. It was a lot of fun and the grandkids are quite talented at solving puzzles.  Dinner at the Greek Kitchen with Rosemary, Daniel and Rebecca was fantastic.  Best Spanakopita I have ever had and the Feta Sousami was another excellent appetizer.  My Mousaka was also the best I have ever had.  Rosemary had the red snapper.  After dinner we went to the off Broadway show “Masquerade” which is the world’s first immersive musical. Based on the Phantom of the Opera with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music, we traveled to many varied rooms including one on the roof top.  The show was amazing and the singers and actors were all outstanding.  The excitement after the show was palpable.  This was the second time seeing the show for Daniel and Rebecca and they were just as excited as we were.  An Uber back to Daniel’s place to say our goodbyes - fortunately the grandkids were up so we had many goodbye hugs.  A fantastic day!

Day 12, June 15, 2026, Monday, Rhinebeck, NY (125 miles)

A travel day and checked into Interlake RV Park (FHU).  Did some cleaning, dumping and 3 loads of laundry.  Temps much cooler and we will run the heat tonight.
